This should be possible by utilizing the 5 major chain machines to do only that and to utilize different machines to make the other littler sizes. Since there are 25 machines left to take a shot at the little chains, and just 5 sizes that should be created, each size will be made on 5 machines. At the point when request goes up for one size and down for another, the machines will be modified in that capacity. It is key in this business to screen the flexibly and request bends and to endeavor to stay aware of the balance. Utilizing the machines along these lines will cause most e xtreme productivity while as yet keeping up the nature of the item that the organization is so valuable from. With respect to the metal, steel and tempered steel issue, it is ideal to appoint one machine of the 5 sizes to every material. At that point, by and by dependent on request, the other 2 accessible machines will deliver the most sought after chain.Capacity Management: Clearly, the limit of the organization is critical to its prosperity. Every single other organization can step by step meet the quality and cost, however in the event that the organization keeps creating the chains rapidly (having a speedy pivot on orders) they will keep on succeeding. On the off chance that the activities methodology is kept up and, at that point the accompanying mechanical arrangement is followed, it is sheltered to state that the organization will remain on top of things, except if some unanticipated thing occurs. The upkeep would need to begin as a total support of the entirety of the machi nes. At that point, to forestall a slip in the upkeep, each representative toward the start of their day of work will investigate the machines and search for any issues. By then, in the event that they notice an issue, they will report it to the perfect individuals and the difficult will get fixed before it turns into a significant issue. The representatives will likewise watch the nature of the chains as they are created and the moment that they notice something isn't right with the quality, they will report it and the issue causing the need quality will be fixed. This quick reaction will guarantee the insignificant effect on the limit of the machines and the manufacturing.Quality the executives and improvement: As expressed over, the representatives should be perceptive of the nature of the item. With this procedure basically, the nature of the chains can be kept up and perhaps improved (since the machines will be better observed and kept up, it will be more uncertain that the qua lity will be relinquished). Since the quality for the most part goes down when the machines are not working appropriately, and the machines will be better kept up, the quality is bound to be sustained.Process Design and Improvement: This segment is point by point in the activities methodology segment. It is the best structure to utilize all the machines in a sensible example reliably. At the point when the interest goes up for one sort of the chain, the task administrator can then somewhat change the machineââ¬â¢s creation with the goal that the interest for the item can be met. Rather than the undertaking chief burning through his time checking stock, he ought to monitor the advancement in a diagram or table or the like. He ought to likewise be educated regarding any issues in the creation that cause any adjustment in the ordinary degree of creation so he can change the creation of the different machines to stay aware of the interest. Since there is an immense measure of chain s tanding by to be plated, it ought to be finished. It is just occupying more room. To boost the pivot, the plated chain should then be sold with a type of arrangement to spare money. This way, the chain gets sold, the creation and capacity can proceed without a very remarkable tangle. Additionally, since the chain would be somewhat limited, purchasers may discover motivation to purchase the chain, regardless of whether they didnââ¬â¢t have one preceding they reached you. In the event that there is a humble load of each sort of chain in the capacity, it would be simpler for the conveyance time to remain generally short. For bigger requests, the conveyance time will clearly be postponed marginally, yet with a supply of the entirety of the items, it is anything but difficult to in any case keep up a snappy conveyance time for littler requests while the bigger requests are filled. By keeping a load of the considerable number of items close by, the creation is by implication being antic ipated. It is smarter to have some close by then attempt to stay aware of interest that can change at any moment. It would be acceptable, while starting to actualize this arrangement, to recruit on temp staff to get things moving. The temp staff can be prepared to screen machines for issues and furthermore to screen the nature of the item. Both of these errands let loose the genuine workforce for all the more problems that need to be addressed. Likewise, these undertakings guarantee that nothing is yielded for whatever else (quality for quantity).Production Planning: Overall, the best answer for the perfect assembling plan is to utilize the entirety of the machines, assign them as explicit machines, and screen them as they produce chain to guarantee quality and speed. The machines should likewise be consistently kept up (as in once every month, an all out examination and support) to likewise help decrease the chance of giving up cost, quality or conveyance time because of mechanical blunder or breakdowns.

Real-time, 3-D X-ray Images May Soon Be a Reality an Example of the Topic Science and Technology Essays by
Real-time, 3-D X-ray Images May Soon Be a Reality In the practice of Medicine, X-ray imaging plays a major role in the diagnosis of a patient. Mostly used in emergency situations, it is also widely utilized during medical operation procedures, treating irregularities of organs such as the heart, liver, brain, and others. It is an ideal option for the doctors in having a seeming first hand vision of the internal organs of the patient needing immediate treatment. Need essay sample on "Real-time, 3-D X-ray Images May Soon Be a Reality" topic? We will write a custom essay sample specifically for you Proceed However, one of the apparent impediments of X-ray machines in the medical profession has been the time frame needed for the film to be developed. Usually, after the patient has been moved to the X-ray room for the said procedures, Radiologic Technologists would need ample time, depending on the thickness of the part oft eh patient being X-rayed, in developing the image in the hospitals dark room. This had been the man reason why in every hospital, X-ray rooms are located on the ground floor, usually near where the emergency rooms are located; to ensure the least amount of time wasted in the patients transfer to and from the emergency rooms. The article released by Science Daily, dated June 17, 2009, regarding the near completion of an X-ray machine with real-time, 3-D imaging capabilities would unquestioningly be a great help for doctors in treating patients of various illnesses, be it in emergency situations, such as vehicular accidents, or in treating internal irregularities of the major organs of the patient. This research, as was stated in Science Daily, done by scientists from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and two Russian science institutes, Voronezh State University and Russian Academy of Sciences, focused on the heavier gaseous atoms instead of the usual low-electron atoms like hydrogen and heliumresulting in the unleashing of much stronger, high-energy X-rays with high intensity (Science Daily, 1). The researchers are not only excited in the medical aspect of the success of their research, but in other fields as well, such as in nanotechnology. They are envisioning a near future where scientists can view in real-time 3-D, through the use of this technology, the microscopic structures under study, such as the DNA (Science Daily, 1). The impeding invention on this field would provide scientists in real-time, with images of the bacteria or viruses being studied in laboratories, in cases where immediate cures are needed to be discovered for the benefit of the populace, such as the N1H1 virus One could only imagine the benefits this would provide if plans to manufacture a portable model of this X-ray device would become a reality. Virtually any medical practitioner, such as the first aid workers of an ambulance team, would have the capability to accurately perform X-rays, and perhaps link the image in real-time to the hospitals, where a certified doctor can diagnose the patient, even before the ambulance arrives, thus making the process faster, more efficient, and perhaps life-saving. Conclusion The invention of a 3-D real-time X-ray imaging brings forth benefits to the medical and scientific world never before experienced since the invention of X-ray itself. Its benefits and applications are virtually limitless, and its conclusion will be, in every aspect, attuned for the benefit and advancement of mankinds development, safety, and health. How Thanksgiving Came To Be.... essays
How Thanksgiving Came To Be.... essays In Canada, Thanksgiving is celebrated on the second Monday of October. The first Canadian Thanksgiving was celebrated on April 15, 1872 in thanks of the recovery of the future King Edward VII from a serious illness. But the major reason why Canadians celebrated Thanksgiving is because we are thankful for a successful harvest. The harvest season falls earlier in Canada than the United States, simply because Canada is further north. Harvest celebrations have been around for a long time. Ever since the very first harvest, about 2000 years ago, people have been thankful for a very prosperous bounty. In 1957, Parliament announced that on the second Monday in October that Thanksgiving would be a day of general thanksgiving to almighty God for the bountiful harvest with which Canada has been blessed. During the American Revolution, Americans who were still loyal to England and the crown moved to Canada and brought over with them the traditional Thanksgiving rituals that were associated wi th an American Thanksgiving. Because of this, Canadian and American Thanksgiving have many characteristics and traditions that are very similar to each other. For example the tradition of the cornucopia and serving pumpkin pie are customs that both, American and Canadian Thanksgiving follow. The custom of serving turkey at the Thanksgiving table is widely debated. Some say that duck/goose was served at the first Thanksgiving, some say turkey, and some say venison was served at the first Thanksgiving. It doesnt really matter what you serve at your Thanksgiving table, as long as you are thankful to God for all that you have been blessed with and for all the good that has happened in your life so far. ...

The Filter - Case Study Example It is faced with the decision of opting new arenas of application of its technology, apart from the currently prevailing entertainment and media areas to increase the profitability of the company. As opposed to the limited options of growth available in the currently selected media and entertainment areas, the company intends to expand its operation by covering other areas that may utilize its superior recommendation technology. Various factors are involved in the decision regarding evolution of the company to increase its profitability. The fact that the technology owned by the company is of considerable importance for various other businesses, makes it possible for this company to adopt an approach where business-to-business model is feasible and profitable. It appears that the companyââ¬â¢s move from adopting a direct customer approach to the business-to-business approach was a test-flight designed to test the feasibility of the business. Now that many notable companies like Nokia, Sony Music and Comcast are already using their services, the company is hopeful to test new areas of growth. Although this appears to be a safe approach, the fact that every new area brings forth new challenges should not be forgotten. So far, the companyââ¬â¢s services were utilized by users who were looking for entertainment; but the application of this companyââ¬â¢s recommendation technology in other areas e.g. in health for diagnosis, will be totally different scenario. The recommendations generated by the companyââ¬â¢s algorithms, in such areas of life will have far more legal weightage with unexpected ethical implications than they had in entertainment sector. Another problem would be the presence of competitors in the new fields, since people in the market will be well aware of the naà ¯ve nature of the company in the new waters. United States; Love us or Hate us Essay Example for Free
United States; Love us or Hate us Essay Not only is the United States one of the most culturally diverse places in the world. It is also one of the most economically viable. It continuously touts its principles of freedom and democracy as an example for all the worldââ¬â¢s nations. It is one of the most charitable countries in the world providing private funding to millions of aid organizations in third world countries. Not only that but technological research in the United States has brought advancements to every field from medicine to space travel (Garcia, 2007). So why it is so many countries hate the United States? This topic will attempt to answer this question. The September 11th, 2001 attacks acted as an eye opening experience for the American public. The perception of American superiority in the world was challenged that day create a shock which reverberated around the world. The international reactions that followed the attacks showed the American public that anti-American sentiments did not simply come from inconsequential groups of people. There were several countries in the third world that hated the United States. One of the major criticisms leveled against the United States is their stance on foreign policy issues. The first and foremost of these is their involvement in the Arab-Israeli conflict. The Arab world believes that American support both financial and military to Israel is not only hypocritical it is also instrumental in the continued oppression of the Palestinian people. While Israel affords a status of a friend to the United States, their neighbors are constantly being bombarded by Israeli military might and being acknowledged as terrorists. The United States is also accused of pursuing this foreign policy time and time again not in the interests of world stability but rather for their own self interests. During the Bush administration Saddam Hussein was continuously demonized as an agent of Al Qaeda and acting against the interests of the United States. However what the government conveniently decided to forget is that the American government was responsible for putting Saddam Hussein in power in the first place. This is also true for in the case of Afghanistan and the Taliban during the height of their enmity with Russia. And now they blame the very governments they put in charge for terrorist attacks on their soil (Chomsky, 2001). A poll conducted in 2002 found that the population in 35 of 42 countries had a generally favorable view of the United States. The poll also showed that while citizens in many nations still find America favorable, they do not perceive it as favorably as they did 2 years ago (Roberts, 2002). Certain studies have shown that hatred of the United States is actually taught in educational institutions (Livshiz, 2001). However this does not excuse the fact the bias the United States has shown for years in dealing with international situations. While several countries such as China and Russia have several nuclear warheads, the United States imposes sanctions on countries like Iran for pursuing nuclear technology for energy purposes. While the United States invades Iraq for the sole purpose of spreading democracy, they also turn a blind eye to the genocide that is currently occurring in Darfur. It is inevitable that Anti-American sentiments will continue while the United States remains one of the most powerful and influential countries in the world. Until the United States accepts that it has to use this power responsibly, the world will continue to see its actions as a reason to hate them. References Chomsky, N. (2001, October 12). Ludwig Van Beethoven :: essays research papers
Ludwig van Beethoven was, and remains today, an Olympian figure in the history of classical music. His influence on the last 150 years of music is unequalled; while generaly a member of the Classicist fold, he was in fact the first Romantic, and pre-figured virtually all music that followed the Romantic era as well. Perhaps no other composer in history wrote music of such exhilarating power and expressiveness; certainly no other composer did so against greater odds. Beethoven was born in Bonn in 1770. His father, a music enthusiast, dreamed of molding his son into the next Mozart. Beethoven never exhibited the astonishing prodigy characteristics of his predecessor, but he was unusually talented, learning the piano, organ and violin at an early age. At 14, he was already proficient enough on the organ to receive a professional appointment. His family life was chaotic; his father was an alcoholic, and his mother died suddenly when he was only 17. After that tragedy, his domestic situation declined even more, and this condition - combined with support from Haydn - compelled him to leave home in 1790 and travel to Vienna to study composition. In Vienna, Beethoven first studied with Haydn, but eventually became frustrated with that great composer's teaching methods, moving on to study with other composers. He performed frequently in salons of wealthy nobility, but strangely enough, did not perform in public until he was 25. But from this point onward, he was embraced by both the common folk and the aristocracy of Vienna, so much so that he never had to rely on court appointments or private patrons for his livelihood. He did receive stipends from admirers and friends, but he remained independent of the shackles of conditional patronage that frustrated so many of his contemporaries. Beethoven was lucky in one sense; he rose to prominence in the musical world at a time when social strata were becoming more flexible, and the emerging power of the middle class provided him many opportunities for performances of his music for public audiences. This, combined with lucrative publishing arrangements, allowed him to live relatively well. He was not ignorant of the benefits of aristocratic support, however; throughout his career, he cultivated a romantic, moody and mercurial image with the upper class and leveraged this persona to achieve a social status equal to the Viennese nobility. Beethoven was a master symphonist - the master symphonist in the eyes of most musicians and composers. His compositions for orchestra were revolutionary in his day; while he adhered to Classical musical forms, his melodies and orchestration were of such unprecedented power and beauty that they astonished even the most hardened listeners.

Decline of Han and Gupta Dynasty
Matthew Vinas Chapter 510/9/12 The Han dynasty and Gupta India were both large powerful empire who conquered most if not all their surrounding neighbors. They left a impression on the surrounding area and its history. Regardless of this influence they could not avoid the looming end that was coming. Like all large civilizations of its time both Gupta India's and the Han's golden age had to end. There are many reasons for this the largest ones being corrupt or weak government, foreign invasions, and internal rebellion. Gupta India was a highly advance culture containing advance mathematics, astronomy, and city planning. But none of these advancements could save them from the decline and eventual fall of their civilization caused by weak government. Following the death of Skanda Gupta in 467 CE rebellion and civil war began to tear the empire apart causing a time of unsteady rule. The constant rebellion caused the government's power in society to decline to . Due to the decline of gover nment, many necessary part of society had to be ignored in an effort to fix the current problems that were being faced. This neglect allowed for the military to decline resulting in the increasing success of the Huns invasions. These invasions took a heavy toll on the government of Gupta, more specifically its rulers causing them to lose more and more power. This lack of sturdy rule allowed the people of Gupta to rebel against its government and its government officials which lead to the invasions of Gupta. Aside from the weakened monarchy, the very personalities of the later Gupta Kings contributed to the ultimate fall of this dynasty. Similar to Gupta the decline of the Han dynasty can be sum up to three points corrupt and incompetent government and rebellion. isrt of all the governmet of Han was corrupt. Toward the end of Wudiââ¬â¢s reign in 156 BCE, violence erupted between the empress and Wudiââ¬â¢s concubine over the heir to the throne. Eventually, a compromise ruler was chosen, but the decline of the Han Dynasty had already begun. Later emperors were incompetent, and their reigns were marked by corruption, and a lust for immortality. This obsession and corrustion was the main reasons for the constant invasion attempts. The wars and large armies put an enormous burden on the economy. The lack of currency, trade, and natural disasters created an uneasy feeling between the Han nobles and their peasants. The main reason of this is due to massive food shortages caused by the massive overpopulation. To conclude the decline of both civilization were the cause of many factors. Like all large civilizations of its time both Gupta and the Han dynasty had to come to an end. Though different in culture both the Gupta and Han dynasty declined and eventually fall due to its weakened government, constant foreign invaders, and its rebellions.

Cool Hand Luke Failure to Communicate - 2806 Words
Released in 1967, ââ¬Å"Cool Hand Lukeâ⬠continues to be one of the most popular movies in American history. (Belton, 2008) The movie starred famed actor Paul Newman and was based on the trials and tribulations occurring inside a Florida prison camp. One of the main reasons why Cool Hand Luke continues to be relevant today is due to its incisive observations regarding the criminal justice system. While the movie was released over forty years ago, the relevance of Cool Hand Luke continues today. This paper will provide a synopsis of the movie and character analysis of Cool Hand Luke; in addition, the paper will analyze the movie from the perspectives of someone unfamiliar with the criminal justice system as well as a professional in theâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Working from the beginning of the film until the end, the first scene would be likely to cause a reaction. In the fact scene, as mentioned earlier, Lucas is seen cutting the heads off of parking meters and being sent to jail for two years as a result. (Belton, 2008) For someone unfamiliar with the justice system, this sentence would appear unduly harsh. Two years in jail for essentially a victimless offense is the kind of sentence that would inspire great skepticism regarding the mission of the criminal justice system. People are frequently sentenced to lesser prison terms for far greater offenses, so the sentencing scene would have confused a person unfamiliar with the criminal justice system. (Cole, 2000) A second impression that would be made on a person unfamiliar with the criminal justice system would be the lack of importance that mitigating circumstances would have on sentencing in Florida. Luke was a decorated war hero, and his service to his country is the kind of thing that many would assume would buy him some leniency, especially for a crime without a direct victim. (Cole, 2000) Lukeââ¬â¢s service clearly did not factor in as a mitigating circumstance given the fact that he was sent away to a labor camp for two years.
